Tsalal - Adhikāra Chinnamastā LP (Splatter vinyl)

WAR-vnyl 002

The culmination of 14 years of TSALAL unleashes into this second full-length (and 12th release), Adhikāra Chinnamastā. With the bass and drums recorded in 2024, the vocals and solos in 2025 and the cover art (by me) in 2026, this work has traversed through different stages of strong energetic current to complete its physical manifestation. Chinnamastā is a fierce goddess and allowing her integration is no feat of ease, but it is something that had to be processed. We chose her image for the cover of our first demo (2012), and in the years that followed, I built up a strong connection to the Goddess. This album is the full-circle release of this aggregated energy.

Hails to Chinnamastā. Powerful, energizing, awakening, ego-slaying, an embodiment of sacred sexual discipline and paradoxical in her blissful fierceness. She is the sacrificer, the sacrificed and the receiver of sacrifice.

Yet do not mistake this reverence for worship. Worship denotes separation.
"To Worship a Deity, One Must Become a Deity".
