A masterpiece of traditional folk black metal. Gromoverzh (Громоверж) is a project of Stringsskald, member and main writer of Temnozor from 2001 to 2010, as well as main member from Walknut and member of Forest and Nitberg. Highly theatrical and dramatic, this album came as a surprise and is without a doubt one of best written albums of the last two decades.

The project was born in 2015, when Stringsskald had the idea to forge a strong alloy from all the accumulated unrealized material written while in Temnozor. The first test recording were made that year. The debut album of the project, “Издревле” (“Izdrevle”, meaning “Since ancient times”), musically can be described as a kind of quintessence of all the three full-lengths of Тemnozor written by Stringsskald and a continuation/development of the creative ideas of those years: triumphant, atmospheric and melancholic. Most of the material was composed going back 20 years during the mentioned years of his activity in Temnozor and the entire album is a canonical and time-tested “pagan/folk/black metal” of the traditional type, where the musician’s signature style is heard quite easily as it surely reminds of the golden era of Temnozor.

This 72-minute masterpiece of traditional folk black metal was arranged, recorded, supplemented and gradually acquired its final form over the course of six years. The main vocals were performed by Stringsskald, clean vocals and flute parts were performed by guest musicians. Veleslav’s poetry was used as lyrics. With immense attention to details in the song writing, artwork and production, this album is easily a new flag bearer of the genre.

Heidens Hart works with the band and is proud to produce and present the grand epoch “Издревле” out now on vinyl format. The album is released on two discs, comes in heavy gatefold sleeve with pantone print, and with insert plus sticker. B
